NAMTA Foundation Grants

A BenjaminThe NAMTA Foundation was incorporated in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, with the stated mission of recognizing, promoting and supporting initiatives that foster the creative and visual arts throughout our society.

Eligibility
Through donations generated by the charitable contributions of foundations, corporations, nonprofit organizations and individuals from across the country, the Foundation provides grants for:
• Projects by artists, art educators or other individuals, institutions or organizations, such as specific works of art, art educational courses, programs or curricula; as well as grants to art institutions, organizations and galleries
• Research to identify, quantify and/or define the economic and/or social impact of the visual fine arts
• Scholarships to enable students them to further or pursue a career in the visual fine arts
• Financial aid in crisis situations where art, artists or art related enterprises are threatened by natural or manmade damage or destruction
• Any program that promotes and fosters the visual and creative arts.

Criteria
All grant applications are reviewed and decided on by the NAMTA Foundation Trustees based upon:
• Available Funds
• Number of requested grants
• Feasibility of the proposed project
• Impact of the proposed project upon the community and/or the promotion of the fine arts.

Amount of Funding
Grants are limited to no more than $5,000 per project.
